Las Hadas no existen (Fairies do not exist) is a book of poetry written in Spanish. In the first part of the book the author confronts the issue of domestic violence and physical and moral abuse against women suffered in her own person in her married life. The sentiments expressed in her poems are full of anger, sarcasm and rebellion for the lost innocence. Fairies are the symbol of childhood, hope and innocence that no longer exists. Everything fades and breaks up to completely disappear. In the second part of the book the poems smoothed up, longing for the land and the family left behind. There is a song of hope for her new home, her children and for nature. Fairies do not exist so exposes the controversial issue of violence against women in intimate relationships, a violence that takes place behind closed doors with enormous impact on women and children, victims of this social problem.
